 Taste in Music  How my taste has changed My taste of music has changed throughout the years, I have been interested in many different types of music ranging from Pop to Rap. Overtime, music has changed massively from Taylor Swift playing on the radio and now Kanye on Spotify, as new technologies have been discovered, new music has risen to the surface. There are lot more independent artist within the past few years. Throughout the years, my taste has changed and matured, especially over the past year, as there has been many different singers and songs coming to light, through independent artist being discovered on social media. Music has not just changed due to new artists but it has also changed as new technologies come out so artist can use more sound effects and autotune, to make their songs sound futuristic. The Brief

 The Brief and initial reactions and ideas The Brief: Brief: music promotion package A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music video (major task), together with an official social media page for the band or artiste(s) and a digipak for the album’s release (minor tasks).  With the brief, I got the idea that we (the students), had to create a music video package – music video, social media page and many more. The music video, digipak and social media page must help promote the artist.  Some ideas that I have: Adele, Birdy or for pop/upbeat songs any of the current artists have potential songs that I can use.  Some of my initial thoughts on the style of music videos: - A slow song – close ups, one person video, subtle and low-key lighting  - A current pop song – different storylines following the song, using different people in the video from different ages.   A slow music video inspiration includes: Adele - Hello An upbeat music vide...

Year 12 Reflection

Year 12 Reflection  Over the course of the Year 12 coursework I learnt many skills that I did not have before such as editing skills on Premier Pro and filming techniques used when producing the opening sequence. We created a 2 minute opening to a movie which should be apart of the thriller genre. When filming the opening sequence I developed a knowledge of how the different camera angles and shots were used such as a low angle close up or a high angle extreme shot, the filming helped me differentiate between all the shots and angles, as I was seeing them being used. I enjoyed filming my project and experimenting the different camera angles, for which we played around with later to help us decide which clip looked best for the opening, this made the editing process a little bit easier as we had more clips to work with giving us a range of choice being able to use.
